Responsibilities Tasks – Cook and prepare entire meals, or meals and dishes. – Make dishes for customers who have allergies to food or intolerances. – Plan menus, decide on the what size portions of food are needed Estimate food needs and costs, as well as monitor and order items – Inspect food service and kitchen areas. – Help staff prepare food items, cooking and handling food items.
– Equipment and supplies to order – Supervise kitchen staff and assisters. – Keep track of inventory and keep records of supplies, food items and other equipment – Clean and tidy work areas and kitchens – Hire and recruit staff
